The 29th Critics' Choice Awards were presented last night in Santa Monica, California, and saw both Oppenheimer and director Christopher Nolan walking away with the top prize for Best Picture and Best Director, setting them up for potential Oscar glory. Going into the event, Barbie led the nominations on the big screen with a record-breaking eighteen. Oppenheimer and Poor Things followed with thirteen each. As for the small screen, The Morning Show starring Jennifer Aniston and Reese Witherspoon led the nominations with six, followed by the hit HBO series Succession which received five.
