True fans of Roald Dahl’s beloved literary character, Willy Wonka, will probably have a hard time playing favorites. All three big-screen adaptations of the 1964 children’s novel, Charlie and the Chocolate Factory, are worth watching. And Gene Wilder, Johnny Deep and Timothée Chalamet each bring their own Scrumdidilyumptious sense of style and charisma to the colorful candymaker. But, as Wonka enters its second weekend of theatrical release, Chalamet’s version of the chocolate confectioner boasts the best Rotten Tomatoes audience score.
